Germination of cuttings with Terra Seed Mix

Place the seeds at a depth of 2-3 mm (maximum 5 mm) in the Terra Seed Mix soil (container diameter no more than 5 cm). Spray the soil regularly. The seedlings first use the energy reserves available in the seeds.

Keep the seeds in a warm (20-25°C) and humid environment, for example using a propagator. Once the seedlings emerge from the ground, remove the propagator cover.

Young seedlings

Young seedlings are very delicate, so do not place them in direct sunlight or near a strong lamp, as this could burn them. Water the young plants with a low EC (1.2) nutrient solution and add Rhizotonic to strengthen the roots. Once they have two or three leaves, the seedlings are ready to be planted out.

Outdoor cultivation

Although it is possible to plant seeds directly in the ground, the success rate of growing them is much lower than when done indoors. Outdoor temperatures near the ground do not provide ideal conditions for seed germination. The seedlings that have emerged from the ground should be placed in a place where they can acclimatise to the outdoor conditions, such as a balcony.

Further development of the seedlings

Once the plants have taken root well in the Terra Seed Mix, they can be transferred to a growing medium (Terra Professional, Terra Professional Plus, CANNA Coco Natural/Professional Plus, ceramic granulate or rockwool) where they will be grown to maturity.
